Hey yourself?

The phrase can be unfriendly if you use it with a mean tone of voice, but usually it's just an informal return greeting. For example - me, "hey you." my friend, "hey yourself." It's kind of like hi/ hi back. Very colloquial and familiar, not something you'd say to a stranger or use in formal situations.
