Is this regrettable?

I am soring a young child in India through Compion International. I do regret doing this sometimes, but always I love doing it. Is this something to regret? I have been doing it for over a year. I have received letters from the child telling me how thankful he is for me sponoring him. I am 25 years old & I love kids, that is why I sgtarted. They picked out this child for me. Is it wrong for to give up on this? Because I do love this child & want to keep on sponoring him until the age limit for to stop. I feel gui.t for wanting to stop. Should I continue sponoring him until age 18, that is like 9 or 8 years from now? I am paying $32 a month. I have written to him once.
