Each time I shave my hair follicles stay open and show the end of the hair, anything I can do to close them?

I need a product that will either close the hair follicle after I shave or remove the hair from the root or beneath the follicle so it can't be seen. I have brown skin so when I shave it instantly looks like a 5 oclock shadow even though I use mach 3 or 4 razors and change them frequently it always leaves the follicles open and the end of the hair even with the skin surface.
