My boyfriend (of nearly 2 years) and me are going really good. Problem is that our families hate eachother.?

They fail to see how much we love eachother. He's muslim and i am a mix (half hindu and catholic). My parents think he's dangerous and all this is just an infatuation. HIs parents don't accept me, so we were literally forced to break up. However, being so depressed without move on, we secretly reunited (with our parents still under the impression that we are not together). However we get threating phonecalls from the indian (muslim) community saying that if there is something going on, serious consequences are going to occur. But we don't understand because we have done nothing wrong. All our mates are by our side and strongly suggest that we should elope, although we really want to make our parents accept us too. We both are so sad and feel depressed - i sometimes feel if i break up with him, he'd be at peace (but i know it will devestate him). Should i elope with him and not worry about the threats (i was scared as muslims apparently ahve some black magic) or is there any othe way?
