Female werewolves called lubins (or lupins)?

the only werewolf I know of called Lupin was the teacher in Harry Potter. loup-garou is the French name for werewolf. it was also used in a Patricia Cornwell novel. all the female werewolves that I've read about in novels look like the males, except they are smaller.
