embly vs C for beginner?

C is by far easier than embly no doubt about it. I would suggest you use whatever language the teacher/professor wants you to use, and use the language you want on your own not-clwork homework. It would be good to study all the programming languages that you want if you want to program for a living, but don't study so many languages that you don't have a life.
